Your Role & Responsibilities

Legal Advice & Internal Point of Contact

  • Act as the primary internal legal contact for the entire Group, covering all domestic and international group entities
  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, escalating complex issues to senior external counsel where appropriate
  • Support management and business units with pragmatic, solution-oriented legal input

Contracts & Commercial Support

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including commercial, supply, and offtake agreements
  • Handle shipping- and logistics-related contracts (e.g. charterparties, service agreements)
  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve contract templates and legal processes

Corporate Governance & Entity Compliance

  • Manage day-to-day corporate governance and corporate housekeeping for all group entities, including international subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the Group’s international corporate structure, ensuring it remains efficient, scalable, and aligned with the business‘ growth strategy
  • Act as the central point of contact for entity management and compliance matters, ensuring continuous entity compliance in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and external advisors

Litigation & External Counsel Coordination

  • Coordinate litigation, disputes, and claims across jurisdictions
  • Act as the central interface to external law firms and advisors, supported by senior legal experts

Compliance & Regulatory Development

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures
  • Build expertise in regulatory, sanctions, and trade-related topics over time, supported by structured guidance and training

Reporting Line: Managing Director / CFO
Travel: International (project-based)

Your Qualifications

Professional Attributes

  • Fully qualified lawyer (German Volljurist or equivalent international qualification)
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the corporate practice of a top-tier international law firm, and/or in a relevant industry environment (e.g. energy, commodity trading, shipping, infrastructure)
  • Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law with a clear ambition to grow into a broader legal role
  • Experience or exposure to shipping, commodity trading, or international trade is a strong plus
  • Excellent command of English and German (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to take ownership and grow with the business in a dynamic environment
